Alexi's Grand Adventure Part 7
It's Monday!!! And that meeeeeeeeeeans ..... MORE SCRIBBLES! That's right; we're right back at the start of a brand new week with lots to get done and lots of fun to have, so let's jump right in to Alexis crazy/wacky adventure! :)
Last Week: Alexi followed at a dead sprint. She was about to ask why they were running so fast if they had just blown up the tunnel, but a moment before she could speak she heard another explosion behind them. Faintly she could hear the purr of an engine. Lights flickered off the tunnel walls behind her.
"What is that coming!" she said before gagging on a clump of dust that she accidentally swallowed.
"Motorcyclists. With machine guns. Run!"
This Week: Alexi didn't need to hear it twice. She took off at a breakneck speed, nearly running Doctor Oper in the process. The roar of the motorcycles echoed down the tunnel like a hurricane. Oper pulled in front of Alexi and pointed to a red button on the side of the tunnel ahead and to the left of them. He pounded it in as they ran by. Another whirring sound, similar to that of the motorcycles, but coming from below, drew Alexi's attention. The floor opened twenty feet in front of them and up popped two chairs that looked similar. to the one that had carried Alexi through the maze of holographic scenes and settings.
"Hop on!" Oper yelled.
He pulled out his remote and pressed another button. Behind them out of the floor rose up steel spikes. Alexi wanted to watch to see if the motorcyclists would see them but Oper grabbed her arm and yanked her onto the chair before sitting on the next one. He continue to flip switches and buttons on the remote. The chairs shot them down the tunnel and Alexi could only hear the motorcyclists crashed and screech to a fiery crash.
Alexi pulled out the security camera footage and found one screen that was near the entrance of the tunnel. Dozens of men, dressed in black army gear and armed with assault rifles and shotguns poured through the door.
"There are more of them coming!" Alexi hollered, eyes wide. Why were these people all coming after her? What had she been dragged in to?
"Why are these people after you?" she said, turning stubbornly to face the doctor who was just ahead of her.
"If you must know: most people just ignored my idea or mocked it, but there was one man, a Mister Shark, who took special interest in my work. for a while he followed from a distance, but after a time he approached, hoping to buy his way into to this place. I didn't like the looks of him or his ideas for what he could with my equipment so I turned him down. He since has built his own small army. I didn't think they would find me again."
"Again? So he's found your lab before?"
"And he nearly stole the portal. I can't let him get to it. Who knows what he could do with this army of his and the portal. It could be dangerous for the world!" Oper said. He glanced at his honing device. We're nearly there. When we get in I'm going to give you instructions and you must follow them without question. Understand?"
Alexi hesitated. She wasn't so sure that this was a bad thing. Maybe she could negotiate with Mr. Shark and get him to release her. After all, she had been teleported here unwillingly.
"Well?"
They were slowing to a halt in front of two iron doors, covered in dust. Security cameras recorded them from both top corners of the doors.
"Fine," Alexi said, completely unsure that anything was fine.
"Good. We've got exactly seven minutes and twelve seconds."
"Here goes nothing," Alexi muttered. "Or everything. Right in our faces."
That's all we've got for you this week! Tune in next week which is filled with teleporting, explosions, and more action!! Tomorrow we'll be showing you some creative writing so be sure to stop by for a quick look then as well! :) See ya tomorrow, and be sure to like, follow, and comment.
