Hey Scribblets!! It's been quite the journey! we just passed our 75th edition this past Friday, and we've got thousands of views on our blog!! That's all thanks to you who support us, so thank you so much!! During that time we've followed Alexi. We've missed a few weeks hre and there for special occasions such as Honoring War Veterans. But nonetheless we've reached the end of her Grand Adventure! :) Today marks the last installment. Next Monday we will catch you up on what Monday's will hold from now on, but for now, enjoy:

Last Week: "It's ridiculous," she whispered. "What's happened to me?"
Oper pulled her into the last room. Her bed still lay shattered into splinters, pillow exactly where it had been when she left. The white glow shone off Oper's smoky jacket in the few places where the slick white material peeked through.
"Let's get you out of here," Oper said. He pulled a small remote from his jacket and pushed a button. The far wall creaked and then swung open. A strong breeze smacked Alexi in the face, and she smelled  distinct smell. Salt.

This Week: They stepped out the door and the breeze washed over them. For Alexi, the wind blowing through her hair and over her body, it felt quite refreshing after being inside for who knows how long. Before her lay a short expanse of green grass which stopped abruptly at the edge of a cliff. Down below Alexi could hear the crash of waves. But it was the smoke across the sea that caught her attention. It seemed to billow across the entire horizon in the early dawn light.

Alexi gasped and whispered in a low voice: "What is that?"

Oper pursed his lips. "I'm afraid I didn't tell you everything about the portal. It doesn't just transport objects. It always transports ... time." he gulped.

Alexi spun towards him. "What is that supposed to mean?" she demanded in an angry tone, wiping a strand of hair from her face. "You threw me into some sort of time machine! Where am I?"

"I-I- I don't know. It could be a number of places and times."

"You built this whole laboratory and building," Alexi gestured behind her. "How did that get here?"

"It must be in the future. When the portal changes times, it changes where everything is based on if it is built or not. This never happened in the past while I've worked here ..."

"Then .... we're in the future," Alexi gasped. "IS this the apocalypse?"

"I honestly cannot tell you Alexi. I've never been thrown ahead in time, only behind." Oper paced back and forth.

"What do we do?"

"I've got an idea. Follow me."

Within minutes they were back in Oper's "office", flicking on TV's. News reports were flashing across the screen. "Meteor Showers Destroy Major Cities".

"Do you know where we are?" Alexi asked. "If we know where the cities are that get hit, may we ca-"

"Teleport back in time and evacuate them." Oper finished. "We'll need to convince people somehow."

"Record it," Alexi said. "Some people will call it fake, but we can get some people out of the cities." Her voice was strained and high pitch. This was all insane!

Oper was already moving. He was at a laptop, camera in hand, looking up the lists of destroyed cities. Alexi noted that the dates was just a few weeks later than when she had gone to sleep before awakening here. It all seemed so strange. So surreal. Suddenly she gasped yet again.

"This teleporter will take me in the future, correct?"

Oper grimaced. "More than likely. IF not, keep trying until it does."

A wide smile broke over Alexi's face. "Then I can save my friend from that accident!" she burst out. A barrage of situations that had occured could suddenly be reversed. It was amazing! Insane, but amazing.

Ten minutes later they had as much footage of the news reports and headlines as they needed. They returned to the teleportation room. The air was still thick with smoke and the distinct smell of gunpowder. Alexi avoided looking at the carnage, reverting to looking to the ceiling.

"All of this can be saved," she pointed out. "I can rescue you from any of this horrible violence."

"Yes. And then we must hide this rock," he said, as he set up the telporter. "It's caused too much grief today.

"But the lives it could save! The things we could fix in history!" Alexi said.

Oper sighed. "Sometimes life is best the way it has turned out. The troubles, the struggles, those are what build us, what make us stronger as humans. They force us to be pushed to the limit and to build endurance. If we used this teleporter to fix all of our problems, which with the way it acts it would be difficult to do, we'd be taking way so much. we'd be helping people yes, but we'd be stealing their heritage, their history."

Alexi was about to retort, but she thought the better of it .This man had more experience than she did. More intelligence and wisdom.

"Fine," she sighed.

"You ready?"

She nodded. "Just send me. We've got people to save. And history to make."
