"Good morning Starshine, the earth says ... hello!". That's right Scribblets!! Today we are doing a battled suggested by you the fans!! The Old Willy Wonka, vs. the New Willy Wonka!! This is going to be a battle filled with lots of yumminess, so let's dig in!

Also, the winner of last week's fandom is Rory Williams! He's just the best Doctor Who companion ever, am I right? ;)

Sarah's Fandom: The Old. Who doesn't love the classic Willy Wonka? I mean, it's a classic. It's wayy less scary than the Johnny Depp version (guys, admit it, that movie is scary, I mean the dolls catch on fire) It's the classic Roald Dahl story about Charlie and his family and how he became the owner of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. You have nutcracking squirrels, chocolate egg laying geese, a gum that turns you into a blueberry, and of course, the Oompa Loompas. You have Gene Wilder playing Willy Wonka, and he totally nails the role. Can you imagine anyone else singing "Pure Imagination"? Nope, you can't.

Malachi's Fandom: The New.  If you're looking for adventure, color, some suspense, loads and loads of candy and sweets, pure imagination, a bit of family struggles and rebuilding relationships, and the lesson of not becoming greedy. Each kid represents how we can all act, and all but the last kid, Charlie, leave the chocolate factory in distress, empty-handed. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory also has many other things to offer. you've got the oompa loompas with their singing dances, the sweet (no pun intended) sugar, Viking-looking boat. Not to mention Johnny Depp's well executed portrayal of Willy Wonka. This was made when Johnny Depp wasn't some tired-out actor who plays the exact same role in every movie. And his crazy, schizophrenia, his lack of the ability to say "parents", and his strange dress and skin tone all helped to create the right character.  All the actors are done well, athe adventure is vey delicious and exciting. The factory is Bee-you-ti-fulllll!!

Well, what do YOU think? Which movie is better? The new high-tech, or the old nostalgia?? Let us know in this little poll, and we'll see you tomorrow!! Thanks for reading :)

Also, comment below what your favorite part of either or both movies are or what your favorite candy is!
